Exhaust Gas Coolers
SHT Engine Cooling’s products help today’s industrial engine, truck, passenger and off-road vehicle manufacturers meet the increasing requirements for reduced emissions by cooling the exhaust gas being returned to the intake of the engine, also known as Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).
SHT Engine Cooling designs, manufactures and supplies high integrity stainless steel heat exchangers, together with associated control valves where required, for the reduction of emissions from diesel engines.
As Serck, we pioneered the concept in collaboration with Ford in the early 90’s and have since worked with most of the world’s leading automobile and truck manufacturers. We have the past honour of being awarded the UK’s top industrial award, the Queen’s Award for Technological Achievement, for the development of the exhaust gas cooler. Over two million units are in service, establishing an unblemished record for reliability and making a valuable contribution to a cleaner environment.
Naturally, SHT Engine Cooling offers the traditional EGR product: shell and tube. The shell and tube product is an economical design of proven construction that meets many of today’s industrial emission requirements.
